Community Connection

Our events bring the community together to support a shared mission: ensuring no one goes hungry. From food drives and volunteer appreciation luncheons to festivals, and more, our events play a vital role in raising awareness, collecting donations, and fostering a spirit of collaboration.

Fight Hunger. Spark Change Walmart Campaign

Fight Hunger. Spark Change.

Every year, the Fight Hunger. Spark Change. campaign helps provide millions of meals to Canadians in need, and you can be a part of it! From February 20 to March 19, 2025, donations made at the Pincher Creek Walmart will directly support the Pincher Creek & District Community Food Centre—and Walmart Canada will match every dollar raised!

In the past three years, this campaign has contributed between $8,000 and $13,000 annually to our local food bank, making a real impact in our community.

Co-op Hunger Bags

Thanks to the generous support of our local Co-op Food store, donating essential items has never been easier! The next time you're at checkout, simply ask to purchase a pre-packed bag filled with our most-needed food items. Your contribution will go directly to our Food Hamper Program, helping local families in need.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

Annual Community Food Drive

Every third week of September, our community comes together to stock the shelves of the Community Food Centre warehouse. This door-to-door food drive is organized by the LDS Church congregation, making it easy for everyone to contribute.

Keep an eye out for a donation bag at your door. Simply fill it with non-perishable food items and leave it out on the designated pickup date.

Thanks to your generosity, over 10,000 pounds of food have been collected in the past three years! Together, we can continue making a difference.

CPKC Holiday Train

CPKC Holiday Train

We're excited to announce that the CPKC Holiday Train will be rolling into Pincher Creek again this year!

For over 25 years, the Holiday Train has been supporting food banks and food shelves across Canada by raising money, food and awareness for food security issues.

This magical holiday event is an incredible opportunity for us to come together as a community and make a difference in the lives of those in need.

Hometown Holiday Fest

Hometown Holiday Fest

Celebrate the magic of our community! Gather your family and friends to enjoy festive activities, including the Parade of Lights, cozy fire bowls, local shopping, and live music on the OK Tire Stage.

Make this season extra special with a visit from Santa—and don’t forget to bring a donation to support the Pincher Creek & District Community Food Centre. Your generosity will help brighten the holidays for families in need.

Watch for the 2025 date to be posted closer to Christmas.
